Oh my goodness gracious, I'm going to be a senior this year! I keep thinking, there is no possible way that I am mature enough.....but whatever, I know how to have fun that's all that matters right? I just want to stay in high school forever. I don't want to have to grow up and become responsible. Responsibility is so over rated! I want to live at home forever, even if we live in a van down by the river! haha okay okay, I realize that I need to grow up. So I guess that's what senior year is going to be all about.
This year I am involved in a few different things. I am doing Allyse's Bridal Fashion Team, where I model their wedding, prom, and formal dresses. That means I have fashion shows, bridal fairs, photo shoots, and I can even design some dresses if I want. I absolutely love doing this! My dream had always been to model, however I never wanted to compromise my standards. I'm so glad that Allyse's Bridal's main focus is modesty. I will never have to worry about feeling uncomfortable in a dress.
I am also involved in Youth City Council. So far it's been a blast. I think it is a great experience for me to get to understand more about the city and help out the community!
At school I am on the Newspaper Staff. I have been since sophomore year and I have loved it every year. I had always been a staff writer, which means I write two articles per paper, get pictures to go with them, and work on the layout and design. For my senior year I decided to take a step forward and become an editor. This gives me a little more work but I think it's worth the experience especially if I want to become a journalist when I am older. While editor, I write one article per paper, get pictures to go along with it, design and layout the paper, edit the other staff writers papers, and help keep the paper organized by assigning articles and running things smoothly.
For senior year I have a lot going on, and going back to school is bitter sweet. However, time is passing by, I'm growing up, and I'm going to enjoy every minute!
Senior year, here I come.

My new little sister!
After all the years of begging my parents to adopt a little sister for me I finally got one. No, my parents didn't adopt nor did they have another baby. Little Kathryn Groesbeck is my new little sister!
We play almost every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Each of those mornings I get to help her choose an outfit for the day and do her hair. When I do her hair she comes to my salon, "seven styles" (Kirk and Karen's bathroom.) I do "Hannah Montana's" hair, most of the time while watching Hannah Montana. I love this part of the day.
I absolutely love that my new little sister is taking piano lessons. Piano is easily one of my favorite things. I'm so glad she likes it! I remember learning all the things she's learning. It gets me so excited for her, she'll be an amazing pianist if she keeps liking piano. She's already doing so great!
We don't alway do the most fun things, but regardless I'm so glad I finally have a little sister! Kathryn, you're awesome! You are just about the only person I dance with, you say the funniest things, and I love that you are crazy too! Love ya!

I'm a family girl!

I've realized that since I'm the youngest in the family, both my brother and sister are married, and both have cute little girls; that I am a family girl. They each have their own little family, so for now, they get to share. My life revolves around those two little girls, Malia and Amaree. I love them like none other!
Today Malia wanted to be next to me, hold my hand, and to opush the cart she was sitting in. When I asked her why she simply replied, "Because I love you!" I love days like this! Since me and mally both know how to tease each other and push each other's buttons, she often gets annoyed with me. However, I love being the "favorite aunt court" and love all the time I get with her!
Later when I heard my niece Amaree, I ran down the stairs to see her. She was in her high chair having lunch, and was excited to see me. I ran to her talking to her in my baby voice saying, "Amaree!!! I missed you baby!" she was banging on her the table and smiling. I love that smile!
Malia and Amaree, I want you two to know I love oyu! I'd do absolutely anything for you. I'm so glad I have you two as my little buddies!
