Temple square
Christmas is probably one of the best seasons ever! I went to temple square with Karen, Kirk, Kathryn, and Kelsey Groesbeck! I had so much fun and temple square is so beautiful! I couldn't stop staring at the temple! It is just so pretty. I was so amazed by it and I was so in awe that I'm shocked I didn't slip and fall because I wasn't watching where I was walking. I'm so glad that I have the Groesbecks in my life. They are like my second family. I feel so comfortable around them and I just love them. I'm so grateful that they live close to me and I am so glad they are in my ward. Kathryn is just so cute and fun, Karen is so so much fun, and Kirk is way too funny! I love that I feel like I fit right in with them! Thanks for all you do for me Groesbecks! I love you!

Don't wait for a miracle, make one.
So I was watching a movie and in the previews there was a quote that really stood out to me.
"Don't wait for a miracle, make one."
This christmas is the first one ever that I have cared less about presents and more about others. I realized that so many people have so much less then most all of us. We are all in our little world and well....lets face it. It's a selfish world. All we care about is ourselves and what goes on in our lives as well as others close to ours. Well, we are just human. That is how it is for everyone. Have you ever walked down the street and seen all those people and realized that they all have crazy lives just like ours. There are so many people out there and we don't know what they are going through. So, this Christmas don't wait for a miracle, make one. Don't assume that there are people out there that will help others. There can never be enough service in the world. Just think, if everyone in the world donated 25 cents, thats $1 for every 4 people and there are roughly 6,830,586,985 people in the world. thats about $1,707,646,746.5. (and no I didn't get all it that fast. It took me about 20 minutes...not exagerating) Now lets get real. Not everyone will give 25 cents. So, I know that times are hard right now. But maybe keep some change in your pocket everytime you walk into the store. There are people out there at the front of the stores waiting for money. Look for sales, maybe you can buy something and give it to toys for tots. I started a money jar in my house. We all put our spare change in it and we are going to give it to a charity. I honestly realized how much we can do when we put forth little efforts. Give it a try. I promise it will make you feel good. Think of all the lives we can change.

Amaree

Amaree, although I don't know you that well....here is what I love about you so far:
I love that you are already smiling even though you are so little.
I loved when I first held you at the hospital you wouldn't keep your tongue in your mouth...it was like it was your eyes, searching the world.
I loved that when I got to hold you for the first time you're eyes were wide open...I think that you know that when your with auntie court it's not time to sleep! It's time to play!!!
I love that when you pooped on me (for those of you that don't know that story...maybe you will be able to hear it someday just ask) I looked at you and you were smiling and as soon as I called you a little stinker you smiled even bigger.
I love that you look so much like your dad, because you and I are both the girl versions of him.
I love that everytime I tell you that I am your favorite aunt you make no objections.
I loved it when you were still in your mommys tummy and we were at the zoo, I touched her baby bump and you kicked me. Everyone says is was because you don't like me. But don't worry, I know it was a love kick.
I loved it when Grandma Lita was babysitting you and I was by you and I left, your head followed me like a magnet. Aww...I really am your favorite.
I loved it when Grandma Lita was babysitting you and she let me feed you and you just held my hand so tight while you chugged that bottle!
I love that you are a chunk and you are going to be the next michilen man.
I love that you get so happy when you get your diaper changed
I loved it when me and Mally set you down on Jens bed and just looked at you and talked to you, you were so happy and you were smiling and trying to talk to us too.
I love that Malia loves you so much.
I love your name
I love that everytime I hold you I get more time to tell you that I'm your favorite aunt.
I love that when you were sad and fussy one day, I held you while I played the piano and your face brightened up immediately
I love that you love to stare at the christmas lights.
I love you chunky little cheeks
I love that you watch jazz games with your daddy
I love that you are so darn adorable!
I love that you don't cry too much
I love that you were a flower for halloween!
I love being with you
I love dreaming up the fun times that we are going to have together. Me, you, and Malia!
I love YOU Amaree!!!
Malia

Malia, here is what I love about you:
I love that when you smile your eyes squish!
I love when we are just sitting around you look at me and say, Court? I love you. We are best friends.
I love that we do doubles!
I love that you like to play with me!
I love going shopping with you. Everything we see you say "Oh my gosh Court! I love it!"
I love that you call me "Court"
I loved it when we went into a room and drew secret pictures for "mom, dad, bryan, madie, and baby" and when you were drawing madie and bryan you said, "Bryan is going to have a little head....and Madie is going to have a BIG head!" and when you said big your eyes got big
I love that you like to sing to me!
I love that you alway like to help me clean my room.
I love that when I ask you who your favorite aunt is you say "you Court!"
I love it when we are telling eachother jokes, you make them up. Once you said, "knock knock" "whose there" and then you said went on for a whole minute saying random stuff and expected me to repeat that back to you and end it in a "who".
I love it when we play hand games like "patty cake"
I love that you alway want me to hold you.
I love that sometimes you just rub my face and tell me you love me.
I love that you always remind me that Jesus is our brother.
I love that you love to sing "The temple song" (I love to see the temple)
I love that you love to jump on my bed with me and we just dance and sing for hours.
I love that you sleep over with "Court" almost every Friday night.
I love that you laugh at my jokes even when you don't get what I am saying.
I love that you are happy to learn everything I teach you...whether I should be teaching it to you or not.
I love when it's just you and me and I play the piano and you dance.
I love it when you tell me that I am "not a princess [that I'm] a queen." but you are a "Princess" because you're "too little to be a queen"
I love that you are always happy to play the baby game (This is when we pretend we both have babies in our tummy...aka we are way full! Mine is always named Josephina and Malia's is always named Leah.)
I love it when you look at me with those big gorgeous eyes and say, "Court? You're so beautiful!"
I love YOU Malia!!!!!

Dig it Humpfrey!
so....boring old me hasn't really done anything with my blog because...well honestly I don't know how. But don't you fret. I will FOR SURE learn how to soon! so I thought that I should do an "all about me" post. But I don't really know what to tell you. So....I'll tell you some fun facts about myself.
Favorite color: Purple!!!! it is basically an obsession
Favorite word:optimistic
Favorite day: Saturday
Favorite Month: july
Birthday: May 31st 1993
Full Name: Courtney Amarilis Cook, I got Amarilis from my mom whose name is Amarilis and she got the name from her mom whose name is also Amarilis
Favorite number: 7. And if you didn't know that you must not know me. The number seven is no longer an obsession. It has turned into o.c.d. When I put things in the microwave the time number has to end in a seven. I have to set my alarm ending in the number seven. and if I push snooze I have to push it twice so that I still wake up at sometime ending in 7. I secretly wish that on July 7 in 2007 I had a baby, yes it would've been the worst mistake of my life...but boy would that child be a lucky one. And if you didn't think that was enough don't worry...there is more. I like the tv to be set at a volume ending in 7 or a multipule of seven. On my 17 birthday (that ends in a seven) I am fulfilling my life long dream...to go bunji jumping!!! Yes, you only have to be 17 to bunji jump!!! There is more but they don't always apply to everyday things..so I can't really name them. OH OH and guess what? You know how in elementary school we all got numbers? Well I was always number 7! Lucky me right? I mean seriously maybe thats why elemantary school was so amazing...oh wait I hated elementary school. But being the number seven made it a little better!!!!
Talents: well this isn't a natural talent....AT ALL. I have played piano since I was 5 and let me tell ya...you know how some people just have that natural musical talent? Well I sure as heck don't!! I'm honestly not that good. so I don't know if I can count that as a talent. Hmmmm maybe making sure the number seven is incorperated into everything is a talent. yes. actually I believe it is!
Okay here are some other random facts: I sleep talk all the time, if you call me in the middle of the night I will probably answer. Granted I will never remember the conversation at all and you will probably hear some pretty crazy stuff....or so I've heard. I have the most insane, detailed, crazy dreams ever!!!! and if you ask me to tell them to you I will probably take 15 minutes at the least because I will not leave out any little detail down to the colors of everyones clothing. I LOVE to talk. And if you know me, you will know that over three quarters of what I say is a joke. I am almost never serious and I love LOVE LOVE to have fun!!! I already know my life plan...I'm going to graduate from high school, go to college major in english...specifically Journalism. and somewhere in there I am going to move to New York for a year and become an intern for a fashion magazine. Then after I have pursued my Journalism career and have succeeded in it I will become an english teacher and after that I will be a piano teacher. Oh and in all that I am going to be writing books :) woot! yes, I know you are jealous. Well hmmm I can't think of much else to tell you besides that I am a dork, that is crazy, loud, sarcastic, and LOVES to PARTY!!!!!
